Lorenz Lachauer studied architecture at TU Cottbus and ETH Zurich from where he graduated in 2007. After his graduation he worked for Herzog & de Meuron, Basel, as member of the Digital Technology Group. In 2009 he joined the professorship of Structural Design and the BLOCK Research Group, both ETH Zurich, as research assistant and PhD student. His research is focused on force-based methods in computer aided architectural design.
